Unexpectedly Impulse-Buying A Classic Ford Mustang
July 22, 2009 by Hanna08
Well, I have not gotten to write on my web site quite as much as I would’ve liked, owing to how much I’ve been roped into helping my Dad manage his wet & wild midlife crisis. True, you might think it’s not quite as nuts as it could be. You see, what he did was to get himself dressed up like the Fonz, and come over to my house and proclaim to me, in his hippest possible vocal tone: “Get ready, boy, we’re going out scouting for some classic Ford Mustangs. You got it, son, I’m all set to buy an old school muscle car.”
And so the two of us were off to some of those crazy classic car lots that everybody is just about certain are not quite on the up and up, and I can’t believe it when my crazy padre wrote a check without even stopping to think, for an extremely gleaming classic mustang. It really is quite item. It sounded amazing as well.
You’ll notice I wrote that in the past tense. It sounded great right until it stopped making any noises. My Dad tells me that it’s a really simple fix and he just needs the right part. I’m thinking, it may not be as straightforward to find 1968 Mustang parts as it was over a thousand years ago, but my pop swears there’s a pretty good-sized market for them in spite of their age. As far as my Dad tells me the the best bet for finding parts for 1968 Mustangs is by way of internet auctions, because you can find them refurbished and often better than new. They’re not necessarily cheap, however… I mean, we’re talking about 30-year-old Ford Mustang parts.
Not as bad as some midlife crises, I suppose. He might’ve gone and found a big tattoo or something.

I love European cars but theres nothin like an old school american muscle car…#daddyshrug #factaboutme

I can't answer your question but, having owned Galaxy / Sharan for many years, I can tell you the electrics on these cars are really complex, nothing is really what it seems. The first thing to do is to get it hooked up to a diagnostic machine to see if any faults are registered. Once you've got that out of the way then I'm afraid it's off to the auto electrician. Stay away from the main dealers, in my experience they're useless. It is possible you have two unrelated problems, but I suspect it's something weird, sorry I can't be more help.
what is a car type?
