More touristy are the USS Arizona and Missouri Memorials at Pearl Harbor on Oahu, and the Sealife Park on the same island. You can enjoy the authentic Hawaiian lu’au experience at the Polynesian Cultural Center on the stunning North Shore with the famed Waikiki Beach only an hour away. Actually the Japanese commanders and planners figured there would be a high likelihood that the attack would be discovered before the attack. Even if the element of surprise had been lost the Japanese planes and pilots were far superior to US planes and pilots at that time. If the battleships had sailed and been discovered and attacked in deeper water the US might have lost even more ships and lives. Remember several battleships were raised from the harbor bottom and repaired. In deeper water these ships would have been lost and many crew members might have not been saved.

As for the third wave, Nugumo himself ordered it canceled because he believed the attacks had done enough damage, not because the element of surprise had been lost. Interesting to note is the third attack targets would have been the oil tanks and repair yards.

What does writing a bio have to do with using someone's story in a novel?

You can write anything you like in your manuscript. However…

Nobody will publish it if all it contains is copy-pasted stories about some singer.
Nobody will even look at your "novel" if it isn't fictional.
If it _is_ fictional, you can and will be sued by the singer for telling lies about him.

If you want to write a novel, go invent some characters.
