Want To Purchase Fish Oil? First Check These THree Things

When you are purchasing fish oil it is tempting to use price as your reason to buy, however this may not be the best course of action to take because as with anything you get what you pay for. You see, there has been an increment of the number of makers making this product due to the need from the market place for it as its health properties become more recognized. The problem though, is that this industry is not heavily regulated and so you will get manufacturing businesses making a cheap product to sell in volume which may not be giving you what you need and could potentially be harmful for your wellness. That said, here are what I think to be the three most essential things to look for when you purchase fish oil.

1)Purity When you buy a supplement it is critical that you check up on that it has gone through a purification procedure called molecular distillation. The grounds for this is because oily fish are renowned for containing mercury and PCB’s, which if taken for a sustained period of time can be harmful for your health. The challenge is though, that it is not a cheap process and therefore most companies do not carry it out, effectively this meansthey are distributing impure tablets in the marketplace. Often they will try and get around this by boasting their tablets are pharmaceutical grade, but that does not mean they have been purified.

2) Freshness One of the most frequent troubles with fish oil supplements is that people complain about having fishy belching after having them. The reason for this is that some manufacturers make their pills with rancid fish. This occurs when they buy their stock from fishermen who have frozen their catch at sea, which allows them to stay at sea longer, catch more and sell in greater volumes at a lower price. So ideally your tablet should be created from fish that is caught and processed within a short time frame.

3) DHA levels The essential fats that come from oily fish and do so much good for you are EPA and DHA. Of the two you want a supplement that is greater in DHA as this is the one that is more positevely linked with health benefits such as protecting your heart, nurturing your brain and being an anti inflammatory. The thing is though, when you look at most supplements you will see they are greater in EPA and although not bad for you, ideally you want it the other way around.

This may sound like a lot of effort to go to when you buy fish oil, but believe me, once you have found a supplement that fits this criteria then you will notice the difference. And I say that to you as a person who has been taking these kind of supplements in one variety or another for over 10 years now and has had the fishy burps.

Before you go looking through the internet for places where to purchase fish oil that matches this criteria, I recommend you visit my website, where not only can you get your free 5 part guide all about fish oil, but you can also learn which brand it is that I personally take, but do not forget to consult with a physian before you start taking them. You can purchase fish oil softgels from healthspan (link above). I've got the Omega 3 650mg ones. The recommended dose is low though, you want to aim for about 3g a day of combined EPA and DHA so you'll need around 10 a day, unless you eat oily fish a few times during the week in which case 5 or so should do.

The benefit of Vitamin B complexes is that you get all of them together in copious amounts so they can 'do their thing' as they work best when taken together. A multivit will give you most/all of them but perhaps not in a great enough dose. It does depend on what sort of life you lead too, how active you are and so on. Seeing as they aren't too expensive you can always try them for a month or two and see how you benefit.

57000 manufacturing businesses in past 5 years. They are not coming back. They love $4 a day wages compared to $18 an hour here.
