    if you could borrow an ipod from someone you know that would be great.. there's actually a step by step guide on how to do it on an ipod in the apple website. it's fairly simple too. i've tried it. or, like what the guy said above, you could burn them and copy it onto your mac.

    With a brand new external drive there is no need to format it. It will work with XP or Vista, however if your Vista has Office 2007 on it some Word doc files may not open correctly on the XP computer. A simple download from Microsoft would fix this though, it's called the Office 07 compatibility file. Otherwise all your music and movies will work fine on either machine.

    My favorite is Fruity Loops Studio 8. It has different versions at different prices, and it's a little hard to learn, but you can find great tutorials and be using it in no time. I also recommend Steinberg's Sequel 2 and Cubase 5.
