How to Tell If Your Jordan Shoes Are Fake

August 20, 2010 by

Air Jordan shoes are probably the the majority of popular basketball footwear ever created. A few people will take advantage of that fact and attempt to promote false Air Jordans either online or on the street. Those footwear could be sold at a much cheaper price than the real Jordan shoes, making them appealing. People not familiar with the numerous various Jordan shoes may not manage to tell the distinction between real and false footwear.

Directions.

Understand|Realize|Recognize} your Retro Jordans. Make yourself knowledgeable about all the layouts of the edition of Air Jordans that you need to buy. Some individuals will place the “Jumpman” or “23″ logo on other shoes, like ones made by Reebok. They may even place the logo on a Nike shoe. Simply because the shoes are genuine Nikes, you shouldn’t assume that the shoes are Air Jordans. Go to the official Nike Jumpman23 website (see Resources) to see each couple of Air Jordans ever published.

Look at the “Jumpman” logo. This logo should be padded, not painted, on the sneaker. If it is painted on, the Air Jordans are fake. Also, the thumb on the hand not holding the basketball should be pointed in toward the body.

Examine the gloss on the Air Jordans. A fake Jordan sneaker will be duller in color around the entire shoe. This includes the base of the footwear. If you can’t view a photo of the bottom of the sneakers, or if the seller won’t permit you to see the bottom part of the sneakers, it should be a red flag that the Jordan shoes are fake.

Have a look at the tag. Know what the tag on your particular couple of Air Jordans should say. For example, a number of editions of Air Jordans will have the expression “Jordan Jumpman” written on the tag, whereas others will merely say “JAM.” Learning this info will enable you to spot fake tags and thus spot fake Jordan shoes.

Verify the outside of the Air Jordans for little flaws. For example, the fabric may have little zigzags (or triangles) on the side of the footwear. Real Jordan shoes are made precisely and will not have these marks. If the designs on the footwear are not symmetrical, the particular shoes are definitely fake.

Notice if the Jordan shoes lean to one side or the other. Fake shoes made with low-quality materials may be heavier on one side, causing the other side to “cave in” toward the middle of the shoe. This will never happen with genuine Air Jordans.
