Cassandra Ventura (who was born August 26, 1986), known as Cassie, is an American singer, model, and an actress. Cassie was born in New London, Connecticut, and moved to NYC after graduating high school to continue her modeling & music career. After being introduced to producer Ryan Leslie, she was signed to his music-media company, NextSelection. Leslie wrote and produced Cassie’s first single, “Me & U”, which became a hit in 2006. She is part of a collective of writers and producers known as The Clutch. Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas (born on October 13, 1980) is an American recording artist, producer, actress, dancer and model who rose to fame in the early 2000s.
