Workout And Be Free From Post-Partum Blues

Majority of mothers undergo a period of feeling highly sensitive after giving birth to a baby. It may come from a sense of separation or a sense of ugliness from the extra fat. Whatever the cause, this is a very fragile moment for mom, and usually even the husband who does not know how to deal with the mood swings. Actually, a way to help reduce the emotional roller coaster ride may be as simple as to get moving as much as possible.
This is largely because exercise releases endorphins, or hormones that result in happy feelings. Physiologically, this means there are little hormones inside that dictate a person’s mood. Working out encourages the production of these hormones that make a person feel happy. At least this will help fight the hormonal imbalance that occurs during pregnancy and after delivery. It also provides a way out of emotional eating as a way that mom leans on for getting out of foul moods.
Second, if the new mother is feeling ugly because of the extra weight she put on during pregnancy, exercising will meet that need for confidence. Even if it doesn’t make her fit in an instant, the knowledge that she’s doing something to get fit again will give her confidence. Being busy will also mean that she would be less likely to mope about her situation and instead be able to channel her energies to doing something about it. Of course, a side note is that she first has to get the go-signal from her doctor about when she can start exercising. Depending on the mode of delivery, the doctor usually advises exercise to start from one to two months after giving birth.
Lastly, exercising will also give her some sense of control over her general situation. Not knowing much about taking care of a new baby can add to the stressing factor of new mothers. This is the reason why undertaking something familiar such as working out will let her feel she is still in control to some extent. This at least allows her to feel calm to some extent. The reduced stress will result in a mom who is happy enough to learn how to care for her baby properly.
Knowing how to cope with post-partum depression is very important for the benefit of the mom, the dad, and the entire family. This is especially important since looking on the wrong way to feel good will only snowball into a worse set of mood swings at this very sensitive time. At least exercise is proven to have positive effects all throughout. This makes it one of the best ways to battle the blues that come on right after delivery!

Is GPS Mobile Navigation Just a Toy?
April 15, 2011 by Hanna08 · 2 Comments
Just a few years ago, those who were exposed to GPS felt it would never catch on. The first civilian GPS nav systems were simply software programs with a small antenna accessory for your notebook PC. Even though it seemed quite awkward having your notebook opened on your seat, the idea of knowing your exact location at any time was really great. Of course in no time at all, product developers saw the potential and ramped up production of portable GPS mobile navigation units.
In recent years, automotive GPS navigation systems are becoming so popular that they are available as OEM accessories on many vehicles. With few exceptions, once a person uses GPS, they feel they can’t live without it. Generally speaking, the OEM in-dash style GPS units are still quite pricy but the newer portable units are very affordable If you have ever been lost in the middle of no where, you can only imagine the real value of having even a basic model GPS in your car or truck.
At one time there was only one or two portable GPS systems on the market but today, there seems to be more variety each day. Among the most famous names are Garmin, Magellan and TomTom GPS. Among the most popular GPS products on the market today are the models produced by TomTom GPS. It seems that most find TomTom GPS offers the best features for the price of their units. Today a smart shopper has only to take a few minutes online to find a great deal on GPS devices.

Do you have high cholesterol?
March 18, 2009 by Hanna08 · 8 Comments
Do you have high cholesterol?
if so you probably already know about how it’s bad for you.
So should you be concerned about foods high in cholesterol?
This is a vexed question and one that both sides of the medical community seem to argue about. On the one hand there are plenty of people who say that dietary cholesterol is not what causes the problems, but the cholesterol we manufacture in our own bodies.
On the other hand there are experts who suggest you treat any foods high in cholesterol with a fear and loathing normally reserved for sharks – in other words avoid at all costs.
Some experts have this to say:
Our normal daily usage of cholesterol is more than we actually eat. So our bodies produce the shortfall. If we eat foods high in cholesterol then our bodies make less since the shorftall is less. When we reduce, or eliminate foods high in cholesterol, you know the usual suspects, egg, butter, dairy, then the body has to crank its own production up a notch. In other words the body self-regulates, which makes sense, but is it right?
It’s claimed that most of the time eating foods high in cholesterol does very little to our blood cholesterol levels. So a lower cholesterol diet may not help you all that much after all.
All of that is great, but what do you if you’re not sure which side to believe? After all, they can’t both be right, can they?
This is where you should consult your own doctor. High cholesterol levels, if left unchecked, can be very detrimental to your health, so it pays to find out as much as you can about opposing views. Ultimately you’re going to have to make your own choice, in conjunction with advice from your doctor, but at least if you’re well informed about the issues you can make your choice from a position of knowledge.
